Texas high school football Week 10 is officially in the books.

Each week throughout the season, SBLive is taking a look at the top high school football performers across the Lone Star State. We gathered the best of the best, separated offense from defense, and now it’s your turn to cast your vote on a winner.

TEXAS DEFENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER OF WEEK 10 NOMINEES

Kelvin Brotherton Jr., sr., Elkins

Brotherton Jr. recorded three sacks in a 21-12 win over Dulles.

Lebron Delane, so., Sam Houston

Delane had a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown and a fumble recovery in Sam Houston’s 55-7 rout of Highlands.

Caleb Dickey, jr., Crockett

The younger brother of star quarterback Cameron Dickey, Caleb Dickey racked up 10 tackles, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt in Crockett’s 45-0 shutout of Northeast Early College.

Gavin Garcia, sr., Kerrville Tivy

The standout linebacker recorded 20 tackles — three for loss — in a loss to Veterans Memorial.

DJ Johnson II, sr., Martin

Johnson II forced a pair of fumbles and recovered one in a 58-21 win over Arlington.

Tristan Johnson, sr., Bell

Johnson, a TCU commit, had six tackles (three for loss), two sacks and three hurries in a 44-14 victory over Paschal.

Austin Metcalf, so., Memorial

Metcalf piled up 16 tackles as Memorial downed Creekview, 24-21.

Devin Sanchez, jr., North Shore

Sanchez returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown in a 61-35 win over Atascocita. It was the five-star junior’s fourth pick of the year.

Jarvis Solomon, jr., Iowa Colony

Solomon had the game-sealing interception in the end zone as Iowa Colony squeaked by Bay City, 28-27.

Andrew Ward, sr., Prosper

Ward sacked Allen quarterback Brady Bricker on the final play of the game near midfield to secure a 37-36 victory.

Gunnar Wilson, sr., Melissa

Wilson, an Oklahoma State commit, opened Melissa’s 56-13 thrashing of Princeton with a 45-yard pick-six.

Donovan Wright, jr., Pflugerville

Wright recorded a pair of sacks in a 29-22 win over Rouse.
