Bears race past Cy Springs to nab District 16-6A title

The Texas high school football regular season is closing out with a bang. 

Cypress Springs (8-1, 5-1) takes on Bridgeland (8-1, 6-0) in a battle for the District 16-6A title on Thursday. 

Bridgeland is undefeated in district play, while Cy Springs has a lone loss to Cypress Falls in Week 8.

Cy Springs is enjoying a level of success unprecedented in recent memory — its first eight-win season since 2003. When coach Oji Fagan took over the program in 2021, it was coming off of a 1-9 season.
