The Texas high school football playoffs are in full swing, and the field was cut in half in the opening bi-district round as teams across the Lone Star State went head-to-head last weekend.

There were too many standout highlights and individual efforts to count. So, which plays stood out above the pack?

Caddo Mills vs. Farmersville: Caddo Mills Foxes junior QB Alfonso Gonzales 29 yard TD scramble.

Byron Nelson vs. Crowley: Byron Nelson senior QB Tom Van Grote 37 yard pass to senior WR Pierce Dahlin. This play helped the Wildcats get out to an early lead in the opening round of the playoffs.

Gunter vs Cedar Hill: Tigers senior QB Walker Overman 58-yard screen pass to junior RB Hayden Farrell. This helped jump start the Tigers offense in the second half.

Mansfield Timberview vs. Frisco Wakeland: Wolves junior Tyler Madison logged a 53-yard TD run up the middle.

Sachse vs Rockwall-Heath: Hawks senior QB Caleb Hoover managed a 31-yard TD pass to senior wideout Drew Smith, one of five first half touchdowns for the Hawks.

Celina vs. Paris: Celina Bobcats sophomore running back Logan Gutierrez recorded a 57-yard TD run.

Denton Ryan vs. Lake Belton: Denton Ryan Raiders junior quarterback Braeden Mussett no look pass to sophomore wide receiver Raymond Smith. This was a key third down conversion at the end of the third quarter.

Coppell vs. Denton Guyer: Cowboys senior wide receiver Baron Tipton hauled in 74-yard reception and Coppell sent Denton Guyer home without a playoff win for the first time in program history.

Lewisville vs. Allen: Eagles sophomore wide receiver Caleb Smith recorded a 98 yard kick return TD that proved to be the difference versus the Fighting Farmers.

Cedar Hill vs Weiss: Longhorns senior QB Anthony Edwards 70 yard TD to freshman wideout Jamil Lockett, the first of many scores for Cedar Hill.
