The third round of the Texas high school football playoffs is history, and the field was cut in half again in the area round as teams across the Lone Star State went head-to-head.

From DJ Lagway, to DeSoto's weapon chest, to North Shore speedster Christopher Barnes, there were too many standout highlights and individual efforts to count. So, which plays stood out above the pack?

SBLive narrowed down our Top 10 high school football plays of the UIL (Texas) regional semifinals.

Congratulations to Pharr San Juan Alamo North senior Alejandro Aparicio, whose 44-yard TD pass to Markus Rendon was voted the top play of the area round by readers.

Aledo vs. Red Oak: Aledo sophomore RB Ray Guillory scores his second of four total touchdowns on a 70-yard run.

North Shore vs. Cy-Fair: North Shore senior WR Christopher Barnes 93 yard TD on the opening kickoff.

Willis vs. DeSoto: Willis senior QB DJ Lagway runs for a 68 yard TD on his first play from scrimmage. Lagway set a 6A record for most TDs in a season with 58.

Timpson vs. Honey Grove: Timpson senior QB Terry Bussey hurdles a defender on a long run.

Atascocita vs. Lamar: Atascocita senior DB Kyran Lee seals the win with a tip-drill interception.

Stephenville vs. Celina: Stephenville junior QB Ryan Gafford scores on a QB throw-back play from junior WR Tristan Gentry. This play was the only TD scored in a 7-3 victory for Stephenville.

Corpus Christi Miller vs. Victoria West: Miller junior QB Trevor Long throws the game winning TD to junior RB Corey Holmes with 18 seconds left.

Lancaster vs. Longview: Lancaster junior kicker Andres Castro drills 37-yard FG with three seconds left to help Lancaster upset Longview.

Anna vs. Frisco Panther Creek: Anna senior WR Jacob Emmers halls in a 30 yard tip-drill TD with 10 seconds left to win the game.

Jacksboro vs. Holliday: Facing fourth down in overtime, Lando Belcher connects with Kasey Swan for a 15-yard TD. Belcher then found Swan again for the two-point conversion to lift Jacksboro to a win.
