Look: Albany defeats Mart to win Texas 2A Division 2 state football championship
Chip Chambers and Adam Hill combined for five touchdowns to lead Albany to a 28-10 victory over Mart on Thursday afternoon in the Texas (UIL) 2A Division 2 state football championship game at AT&T Stadium.
Chambers threw for two touchdowns while Hill rushed for a game-high 132 yards and scored on runs of 52 and 5 yards and he caught a touchdown pass.
JD Bell finished with a team-high 58 yards rushing on 16 carries and he scored on a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Panthers' (15-1) only touchdown of the game.
The Lions (16-0), who won back-to-back state titles, held a commanding 21-3 lead at the half.
