Look: Duncanville defeats North Shore for Texas 6A Division 1 state football championship
ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Caden Durham rushed for a game-high 231 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Duncanville past North Shore 49-33 on Saturday night in the Texas (UIL) 6A Division 1 state football championship game at AT&T Stadium.
Durham scored all three of his touchdowns during the first half on runs of 26, 72 and 92 yards.
Quarterback Keelon Russell threw for game-high 288 yards and three touchdowns for Panthers and he also scored on a 10-yard run. Zach Turner caught two of Russell's touchdown passes and he finished with 103 yards receiving.
Kaleb Bailey led North Shore (15-1) with 239 yards passing and three touchdowns of which two he connected with receiver Christopher Branes on. Bailey finished with a team-high 126 yards rushing on 17 carries.
It marks the second consecutive state football title for the Panthers (14-1) and the third in program history.
