Duncanville's Kaylinn Kemp's fast break dynamism against DeSoto was voted the top play of the week from Jan. 8-14, as decided by readers.

The Texas high school basketball season is underway as seasons progress through district play across Lone Star State.

There were many individual girls and boys basketball plays from the last week, Jan. 8-14. We gathered the Top 10 plays from the week and ranked them one through 10. 

Congrats to Brandeis standout Rian Forestier, whose block received 57 percent of the more than 11,000 votes to win the Top Play in Texas between Dec. 25-31.

North Crowley vs. LD Bell: North Crowley senior point guard Kendal Robinson hits a step back 3 to tie the game at 42.

Frisco Lone Star vs. The Colony: Lone Star sophomore guard Trent Perry comes up with a takeaway and finishes with a one-handed slam dunk.
