After an action-packed opening first two rounds, the final day of the 2023-24 Texas high school wrestling season is underway as the top athletes in the Lone Star State are competing for glory in UIL Class 5A and 6A state championship meet at the Berry Center in Cypress.

The Class 5A and 6A boys semifinals took place Saturday morning, the Parade of Champions is at 4:30 and the boys start the championship round at 4:45 p.m.

Arlington Martin unseated 14-year-running state champ Allen for the Class 6A boys team titles heading into the championship round and Melissa's Angelo Ferrari brought home another title in 5A.

Canyon Randall sophomore Mikey Ruiz is No. 23 at 113 pounds, The Woodlands' Caio Aron is No. 24 at 132 pounds, Spring junior Dorian Olivarez is No. 11 at 144 and Melissa's Angelo Ferrari is the nation's No. 1 wrestler at 175.
