Nationally-ranked Texas high school football power DeSoto looks to get back on its feet at home against undefeated Miller

Nationally-ranked DeSoto will look to rebound at home on Friday when the Eagles host undefeated CC Miller in a Texas high school football battle.

DeSoto fell from No. 4 to No. 12 in the latest SBLive/SI Top 25 national high school football rankings after being upset by previously-unranked and now No. 7 North Crowley last week.

Miller has won its first two games by a combined score of 100-13, and the Buccaneers were absolutely dominant in their 59-6 win over Seguin a week ago.

FOURTH QUARTER UPDATES

TOUCHDOWN MILLER! It might not be Miller's night, but Broderick Taylor is showing out. The running back has his third TD of the night after Trevor Long hits him for a 44-yard strike. Miller trails 57-21 with 1:50 to go.

With five minutes left in the game, DeSoto has brought in its reserves.

INTERCEPTION! DeSoto attempts a fake punt and Miller's Charles Williams picks it off to give the Bucs good field posession halfway through the fourth.

THIRD QUARTER UPDATES

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! The third quarter ends with Ryan hitting Daylon Singleton for a 42-yard touchdown. It's now 57-14 DeSoto heading into the fourth.

TOUCHDOWN MILLER! Broderick Taylor takes a screen pass from Trevor Long and runs it 60 yards for Bucs' second score. Miller trails 50-14 with 3:24 remaining in the third quarter.

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! The Eagles respond immediately as Kelden Ryan hits Daylon Singleton for a 32-yard touchdown pass on 4th and 10. DeSoto leads 50-7. Just over five minutes left in the third.

TOUCHDOWN MILLER! CC Miller gets on the board with a 61-yard run from Broderick Taylor but still has a long way to go as the Bucs trail DeSoto 43-7.

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! Miller starts the second half with a three-and-out and DeSoto needs just two plays to cash in on a 30-yard run by SaRod Baker. Eagles lead 43-0.

SECOND QUARTER UPDATES

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! Deondrae Riden punches it in from seven yards out and DeSoto leads 36-0 in the waining seconds of the second quarter.

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! Kelden Ryan takes it 13 yards for the score to give DeSoto a 29-0 lead with just over five minutes left in the half.

FIRST QUARTER UPDATES

TOUCHDOWN! DESOTO A 56-yard run from SaRod Baker gets the Eagles in good position. Ryan hits Ethan Feaster for a 22-yard touchdown strike and DeSoto leads 22-0 as the first quarter comes to a close.

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! Miller attempts a 42-yard field goal but it is no good. On the very next play, Myson Johnson-Cook takes it 75 yards to the house and the Eagles are successful on a two-point conversion. DeSoto leading Miller 15-0 with 5:25 left on the first-quarter clock.

INTERCEPTION! Khalil Davis comes up with the pick to give the Bucs a chance to tie the score.

TOUCHDOWN DESOTO! The Eagles get on the board first with a touchdown pass to SaRod Baker. DeSoto leads 7-0 with 10:20 left in the opening quarter.
