The newly-ratified WIAA playoff seeding committees across all team sports will look very similar to the already-established football model.

Days after news broke that all basketball, baseball, soccer, softball and volleyball state playoff brackets would be determined by committee, WIAA assistant executive director Cindy Adsit offered more details in a video posted to the association's website.

The committees are open to applications from coaches, athletic directors, principals, superintendents and media members. Committee members will be nominated by leagues, and diversity — gender, position and race — will be factored in.

Applications are due by May 27 and the committees will be selected and finalized by June 15.
