SPANAWAY — Puyallup running back Ziere Ford scored from 57 and 30 yards out, as well as three more times from short distance as the Vikings beat Bethel 46-18 to kick off the 2021 COVID-shortened high school football season on Friday night at Art Crate Field.

Bethel quarterback Kekoa Visperas scored on an 18-yard scramble, and sophomore running back Salamo Filimaua added a 17-yard touchdown, but the Braves couldn't crawl out from a 22-0 first quarter deficit.
