SEATTLE — Freshman running back Jason Brown ran for 247 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries to lead O'Dea to a 49-7 win over Seattle Prep to win the four-team Metro League playoff on Friday at Memorial Stadium.
Seattle Prep scored on the first drive of the game on a five-yard pass from Jake Sype to Braeden Smith, but struggled to move the ball against the Fighting Irish's suffocating defense. O'Dea, which opened the season with a 20-0 loss to Eastside Catholic, caps the season with a dominating finish in the state's only big-school culminating event in 2021.
