Bulldogs capture 18th state championship in program history after taking down Metro League rival O'Dea

TACOMA – Garfield coach Brandon Roy said if he was the coach at O'Dea he would not want sophomore Legend Smiley shooting the ball.

So, Roy wanted Smiley to shoot the ball and attack O'Dea in the Class 3A boys title game.

And that's just what Smiley did. He scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Fighting Irish for Garfield's 18th state title in program history.
