Rory Rosenbach stepping down from Union football to lead Glacier Peak athletics
Former Union High School football coach Rory Rosenbach is going back home.
A Snohomish native, Rosenbach has accepted the athletic director position at Glacier Peak - the school he previously coached at for eight seasons before taking the job at Union.
The Columbian in Vancouver was the first to report Rosenbach's departure.
He guided the Titans to an undefeated season and their first Class 4A state championship in program history in 2018.
Rosenbach compiled a 47-22 record in his eight seasons leading Union.
An all-state tight end at Snohomish High School, Rosenbach graduated in 1994 and played at Air Force Academy for two seasons.
He transferred to Oregon, but never played because of injuries.
As a first-time coach, Rosenbach won a pair of Class 4A titles in Oregon at Marist High School (2005, 2007) before leaving to become Glacier Peak's first coach when the school opened in 2008.
Rosenbach replaces Kevin Judkins, who retired at the end of this school season, as the Grizzlies' athletic director.
