1. BELLEVUE

Undefeated WIAA title-winning year automatically qualifies you for the top spot the following year. This Wolverines’ team should again be among the state’s best.

2. SHORECREST

Scots rose to a fourth-place state finish last year on the back of their defense and maintaining that identity should put them back on the path to title contention.

3. GIG HARBOR

Possibly the state’s best player, University of Washington commit Sophie Blake, leads strong group of returning players eager to return to top of 3A ranks.

4. SEATTLE PREP

Panthers always make it tough for teams to beat them, and they have a pair of WIAA semifinal appearances the past two years to show for it.

5. ROOSEVELT

Junior forward Avery O’Donnell was an exciting watch in last year’s title-game loss, and her scoring threat will keep Roughriders in mix of a wide-open 3A field.

6. LAKE WASHINGTON

Kangs bring a bevy of experience to the mix this year, led by seniors Kate Silverstein and Josie Rayhill, who will provide defensive know-how to keep team in every game.

7. BISHOP BLANCHET

Bears are healthy again entering the year, and with talent such as Rachel McAllister, Morgan Mooney and Lauren Puckett, they’re strong all over the pitch.

8. AUBURN RIVERSIDE

Despite a roster overhaul that included Samiah Shell (now at UW), the Ravens are eyeing a sixth consecutive 3A NPSL title - and fourth state appearance in a row.

9. MOUNTLAKE TERRACE

Top-end talent, led by Natalie Cardin, could propel Hawks back into state tournament again after qualifying for the first time in 32 years last season.

10. MEAD

Luxury of two elite goalkeepers in Mia Speir and Joey Hornyak is rare, but one the Panthers will likely use to dance back toward another state appearance.
