Kennewick’s timely hook and lateral voted top Washington high school football play of Week 6
Risk pays off for Lions late in game against Richland with perfect execution of trick play for touchdown
Late in an MCC matchup with Richland, Kennewick caught the Bombers off guard and it paid dividends.
David Wacenske hauled in a pass, but before anyone had a chance to get hands on him, he tossed the ball behind him and caught Kyler Witkowski in stride who did the rest himself for a 63-yard touchdown.
That hook and lateral was voted the top play in SBLive WA's Week 6 play-of-the-week poll.
It received 56.08% of the vote while Southridge’s Gavin Allen’s long touchdown where he dragged multiple defenders to the end zone received 42.82%.
