Congratulations to Bellevue football standout Ryken Moon for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Washington High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 6-Nov. 11!

As a Wing-T powerhouse, Bellevue is known for how it controls the trenches. But it also has standout athletes in the back end, too - such as this junior, who enjoyed a magnificent two-way performance in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs. Moon had three of the team's five interceptions on defense, and rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Wolverines' win over Monroe.

Moon received 47.2% of the vote, beating out Mercer Island state-champion swimmer Piper Enge, who finished second with 40.1%.

We are currently accepting WaFd Bank Player of the Week nominations. If you would like to nominate an athlete, please email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com or message us on Twitter or Instagram at @sblivewa.

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for the week of Nov. 6-Nov. 11:

WASHINGTON NOMINEES

Lance Allred, Royal football: While it took a while for the Knights to warm up - once Allred did under center, so did the defending state champions. The junior passed for 328 yards and four touchdowns, and added 52 yards and another score on the ground in a first-round state win over Eatonville.

Lizzy Andrew, Ridgefield girls volleyball: In a matchup of current Pacific-12 Conference signees, this Stanford pledge registered a single-match career-best 47 kills and six blocks in the team's five-set 2A quarterfinal win over Ellensburg (and Alana Marrs). The Spudders lost to Columbia River in the WIAA title match.

Jason Brown Jr., O'Dea football: It's the playoffs, and Brown is revved up for a strong finish. He kicked off his final Class 3A tournament with a dynamic first-round performance against Auburn Riverside - 239 rushing yards, 12 carries, five touchdowns, including scoring runs of 34, 27 and 59 yards).

Hannah Byers, Olympia girls volleyball: In the state's deepest district tournament, Bears won all four games in four sets or fewer, including a 3-1 win over No. 1 Camas in the finals. Byers (and setter Kate Herrick) were unstoppable with 26 kills and 16 digs in title match. She had 82 kills, 62 digs and .311 hitting percentage for the weekend.

Darcy Dalziel, Shorecrest girls soccer: Senior defender tallied game-winning goal in 12th minute of Class 3A quarterfinal showdown against defending state champion Bellevue, and Scots upend the Wolverines, 2-1. It was a rematch of the WIAA semifinals in 2022.

Payton Davis, Oakesdale girls volleyball: All she knows it Class 1B titles - and coming up clutch in the biggest moments. In the finals against Neah Bay, the CWU signee posted 25 kills, 20 digs and two blocks in Yakima.

Lauren Dreves, Columbia River girls volleyball: It was fitting that Dreves' final swing was a match-ending kill from the left side as the Rapids' swept Ridgefield in the Class 2A finals for a three-peat. The Auburn signee finished the match with 14 kills, 13 digs and two blocks as 2A tournament MVP.

Piper Enge, Mercer Island girls swimming: In swimming circles, the Islanders standout produced arguably the greatest showing in a meet ever in Washington. Not only did she help the team to the Class 3A title, she won the 200 IM (1:58.23) and posted a top-five national mark ever in the 100 breaststroke (58.95).

Jayshon Limar, Lake Stevens football: Junior rushed for a career-high 219 yards on 15 carries, including two short touchdown runs in the Vikings' 4A first-round victory over Woodinville.

Ariana Lopez, East Valley of Yakima girls soccer: Sophomore midfielder was all over the place in two Class 2A state-tournament victories, registering a hat trick and assist in first-round win over Sammamish, then tallying a pair of goals and an assist in the quarterfinal triumph over Hockinson.

Carter Steinwand, Clarkston football: It was a big moment for the senior quarterback - and the program after defeating Woodland for its first WIAA playoff win since 1989. Steinwand passed for 204 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 60 yards and two scores in the home victory.

Hailey Weiler, Kennedy Catholic girls swimming: Sophomore completed a perfect fall run - she did not lose a race all season - with state-title wins in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke at the Class 4A championships in Federal Way.
