Federal prosecutors have charged 27 people for allegedly doping racehorses illegally

Federal prosecutors in New York have charged 27 trainers and veterinarians for allegedly doping racehorses illegally. Participants "manufactured, sold, shipped, delivered, received and administered at least thousands of units of PEDs,” according to charging documents. The defendants ran the horses at tracks in New York, New Jersey, Kentucky, Ohio, Florida and the United Arab Emirates.
