Jalen Brunson Toys With Josh Hart Over Google Search of Adult Film Star
1. I need a break from writing about streaming taking over sports and the depressing possibility of a world without Inside the NBA, so in honor of Tuesday's Pacers-Knicks Game 5, I’m giving you a fun story that’s a few months old, but didn’t get a ton of traction when it happened.
This also might be the most wholesome story involving the googling of an adult film star.
During a February episode of their podcast, Roommates Show, Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, who go back to their Villanova days, played a game in which they took a friendship test.
As part of the game, Brunson asked Hart to reveal the last thing he googled. Brunson also warned Hart that he already knew the answer, so it didn’t pay to lie.
After a nervous and uncomfortable laugh, Hart went for the reveal.
“So honestly, the last thing I actually googled, I didn’t know who Lisa Ann was."
Brunson clearly knew that Lisa Ann was well-known porn star because he started cracking up right away. The Knicks guard was so proud of himself for putting Hart on the hot seat.
Hart, while trying to control his laughter, tried to explain his curiousity was all innocent.
“Cause she got dragged, she got arrested at the Matt Rife show at Music City Hall,” Hart said.
To be clear, the only thing Hart should be embarrassed about here is that he called Radio City Music Hall, “Music City Hall.”
Hart offered more context about his search.
“I’m like, who’s Lisa Ann. And she follows me on Twitter. So, I’m like ‘Oh wow, she has two million followers, who’s this person, must be somebody.’ And I googled and I was like, ‘Oh, Lisa Ann.’ That was the last thing [I googled]."
Hart then told Brunson he thought they should have Lisa Ann on the podcast, but quickly realized that could be problematic.
“I’m like, ‘Yo, we should have her on the pod.’ I found out, I don’t know if our wives would be too happy if we had her on the pod.”
This Knicks team was already immensely likable, but this clip just makes Brunson and Hart even easier to root for.
We just wish Brunson would’ve prodded more about Hart’s reaction when he saw what his Google search revealed.
2. This seems like the perfect follow-up item after a Lisa Ann story.
During Monday’s Cubs-Braves game, Atlanta play-by-play announcer Brandon Gaudin gave an update on three Chicago players: Brad Hand, Pierce Johnson and Miles Mastrobuoni.
And Gaudin went there.
3. Here are the games that have been announced before Wednesday’s full 2024 NFL schedule release:
Thursday, Sept. 5: Ravens at Chiefs, NBC
Friday, Sept. 6: Eagles-Packers, Peacock
Sunday, Sept. 8: Cowboys at Browns, Fox

5. We keep hearing that having to pay for nine billion streaming services isn’t sustainable for customers. We also keep hearing that bundles are coming. Comcast announced one today and it sounds great. The only problem— and it’s a big one—is that you can only buy it through Comcast.
6. The latest SI Media With Jimmy Traina podcast features a conversation with Katie Nolan.
Nolan, who is a lifelong New England Patriots fans, breaks down all aspects of The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix: best and worst roasters, what made her cringe, what was wrong with Ben Affleck, why was Bill Belichick so enjoyable, why was Kim Kardashian there, why was it so long and much, much more.
Nolan also talks about where her career is at, why she didn't join Dan Le Batard's Meadowlark Media when she was offered a job there, what she's looking for in sports media, her appearance on Celebrity Jeopardy! and more.
Following Nolan, Sal Licata from WFAN and SNY joins me for our weekly "Traina Thoughts" segment. This week's topics include more on the Brady roast, the Drake–Kendrick Lamar beef, the Kentucky Derby, Netflix possibly airing Christmas Day NFL games and more.

7. RANDOM VIDEO OF THE DAY: It was 15 years ago today, May 14, 2009, that Jim and Pam found out they were having a baby. Obviously, comedy was The Office’s strong suit, but the show did drama very well, too. This reveal was excellent television.
