New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby is set to miss Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers due to a hamstring injury he sustained on Wednesday in Game 2, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Anunoby sustained a hamstring strain during the third quarter of the Knicks' 130–121 win on Wednesday night and wasn't able to return. He'll now be sidelined for Friday's Game 3, which is the first game of the series at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Anunoby is crucial for New York, particularly on the defensive end. After arriving at the trade deadline in a deal with the Toronto Raptors, Anunoby averaged 14.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 23 games. Those numbers have gone up during the playoffs, where he's provided 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while averaging 40.0 minutes per contest.

The Knicks are already missing a handful of key players due to injury, including Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson and Bojan Bogdanovic, all of whom are sidelined for the remainder of the season.

New York has not indicated whether Anunoby is at risk of missing Game 4, which is set for Sunday, May 12. The Knicks hold a 2–0 series lead, but the absence of their starting forward could make closing things out a bit more difficult.
