Serie A club Napoli signs deal with Tinder
Series A Italian football Club SSC Napoli struck a partnership with Tinder where fans can swipe right on striker Arek Milik and welcome him back to the pitch following a serious knee injury in 2016. The Polish footballer will be personally messaging fans for two weeks on Tinder and then choosing four individuals to meet him in person.
“I’m really proud to be part of this unique and innovative initiative with Tinder,” Milik said in a statement. “The fans here have always given me a warm welcome and it’s really amazing to be able to interact with them directly. Technology brings people together, just like sports, and I look forward to starting this new adventure.”
Added David Wyler, Vice President of Partnerships at Tinder said in a statement: “We are happy to support Arek Milik and S.S.C. Napoli. Tinder is first and foremost a platform for meeting new people. We look forward to connecting fans with their favorite player.”
“I’m Arek Milik, and I’m back in the game,” Milik said in a video promoting the partnership. “You can find me on the pitch and on Tinder. When you see me, swipe right and send me a welcome back message. If your message is one of my favorites, it could get you here with me! Must love Napoli!”
