Pat McAfee Could Exit From $120 Million FanDuel Deal, per Report

The NFL punter-turned-host is in the second year of his contract with the company.

Pat McAfee’s rise through the sports media world saw him land a massive deal from FanDuel less than two years ago, but the former Pro Bowl punter is reportedly considering shaking up his situation yet again.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, McAfee could exit his four-year, $120 million deal with the company. He is currently in the middle of his second year with FanDuel on a contract that pays him more than $30 million a year.

In recent weeks, McAfee has made a series of moves that suggest something could be afoot. Marchand reported that in a series of direct messages with the New York Post last week, the former NFL player was vague about his plans with FanDuel but said that it was “all love” with the betting company. However, McAfee has removed the FanDuel logo from his show in recent weeks.

When asked about the missing logo, a FanDuel spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.

“We really value our relationship with Pat and we are always evaluating how to work to engage his audience,” the spokesperson said, per the Post.

Marchand reports that McAfee has gone as far as to have talks with other potential partners, including Amazon.

“[There are] a lot of moving pieces right now,” McAfee, 35, said in direct messages with the New York Post. “Not exactly sure where it all ends up. No beef, all love with FD (and you.) Just trying to make my show and life easier. I’ll have a lot more info and direction late next week probably.”
