Manny Ramirez
Manny Ramirez turns 40 on Wednesday. The two-time World Series champ signed with the Oakland A's in the offseason, but has spent this season serving a 50-game suspension for violating baseball's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Ramirez is eligible to return today but will continue to play for Oakland's Class AAA Sacramento River Cats as he gets into baseball shape. Ramirez is batting .250 in nine games with the River Cats, and all eight of his hits have been singles. As Manny celebrates the big 4-0, SI looks back at some rare photos of the enigmatic superstar.
