Baseball is coming. Ten teams are holding their first workout of the spring on Thursday, bringing the total number of teams to get underway with their full slate of players to 25. Friday marks the mandatory reporting date for the Rockies and Twins, the last two teams to call all of their players to camp. By Sunday all 30 teams will be hard at work in Florida or Arizona, and the Grapefruit and Cactus League schedules begin next Wednesday with three games in each league.
All of which means that no matter how much snow might be piled up in your neighborhood, or how far away March 31 (the domestic Opening Day of the 2014 baseball season) might feel, baseball players are doing baseball things in uniform under sunny skies as you read this.
Among the teams of baseball players doing baseball things are the Dodgers, who tweeted out the following vine on Wednesday. Kenley Jansen was pitching batting practice Wednesday morning. When Yasiel Puig stepped in, Jansen threw two pitches by his now-23-year-old teammate. Then Puig did this to Jansen's third offering (make sure to turn on the sound):
