Bryce Harper blasted a three-run homer in the Xth inning of the Nats' game against the Marlins
Bryce Harper famously hit two homers on Opening Day last year, but through the Nationals' first seven games this season he had not one extra-base hit, and new manager Matt Williams even dropped him all the way down to seventh in the batting order. In the bottom of the fourth inning on Wednesday night he tried to make up for his slow start all at once, turning on a full count pitch from Marlins starter Brad Hand and crushing it about a third of the way up the upper deck at Nationals Park.
It was what you might call a slumpbuster, and one that was even more impressive because Hand is a lefty, and just two of Harper’s 20 homers last year came against southpaws. Watch it here:
