The Dodgers' worst 2013 memories came rushing back to them on Saturday night when Hanley Ramirez left after the third inning with a right thumb injury.
Ramirez missed the first month of last season after tearing a ligament in his right thumb diving for a ball in the World Baseball Classic. If he indeed suffered a similar injury on Saturday, the Dodgers could be without the anchor in the middle of their order.
Justin Turner, who started the game at third, moved over to short with Ramirez out. Juan Uribe, who had been scheduled to get the night off, took over for Turner at third. Ramirez had been 1-for-2 before hurting his thumb, drilling a long double to right-center and driving in a run with a groundout.
