New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter has the best-selling jersey in Major League Baseball through the first half of the 2014 season, the league announced on Thursday.
Jeter, 40, is playing his final season with the Yankees before retiring. He is hitting .270 with 2 HR and 24 RBI for the Yankees, who sit at 46-44 in third-place in the AL East. He will start at shortstop during his final All-Star Game on Tuesday in Minnesota.
Rounding out the top five in sales are San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Clayton Kershaw, Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz and Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia.
