Report: Brewers express interest in Rays pitcher David Price
The Milwaukee Brewers are expressing interest in Tampa Bay Rays All-Star pitcher David Price, according to a report from Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports.
Major League Baseball's non-waiver trade deadline is Thursday at 4 p.m. ET.
The Brewers could get a close look at Price as Milwaukee visits Tampa starting Monday for a three-game interleague series. Price is scheduled to start on Wednesday.
More from Fox Sports:
The Brewers are among the teams to express interest in Price, according to major league sources. Their inquiry was akin to putting their "foot in the water," one source said.
The Rays are in fourth place, 7.5 games behind the front-running Baltimore Orioles in the American League East, but have won nine of their last 10 games.
