Giants outfielder Angel Pagan could make his return this week after being sidelined since mid-June with back issues, Alex Pavlovic of The Mercury News tweeted Sunday.

The 33-year-old Pagan, who was a part of the Giants team that won the World Series in 2012, has been progressing in his rehab as of late and could be with the team for its series in Milwaukee, which begins on Tuesday. He is currently on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Fresno and is scheduled to play two games before returning to the Giants.

The team is 36-21 when Pagan starts and 22-29 when he doesn't start. The Giants were second in the NL West heading into their Sunday afternoon game against the Mets.
