Minor league team combines for 11-inning no-hitter

The Texas Rangers' short-season Class A affiliate, the Spokane Indians, threw a combined 11-inning no hitter against the Seattle Mariners' affiliate, the Everett AquaSox.

The Texas Rangers' short-season Class A affiliate, the Spokane Indians, threw a combined 11-inning no hitter Sunday against the Seattle Mariners' affiliate, the Everett AquaSox, winning 3-0. According to Baseball-Reference, the no-hitter is the longest minor league no-hitter since the 13-inning tilt between the South Atlantic League's Delmarva Shorebirds and Lexington Legends on May 7, 2004.

Four pitchers - Derek Thompson, Shane McCain, Adam Parks and Luis Pollorena - combined Sunday at Spokane's Avista Stadium to hold the AquaSox to no hits, striking out 14 and issuing just two walks in the process. The Indians went up for good when Luke Tendler hit a three run home run in the top of the 11th. 

The Indians moved to 32-23 with the win, while the AquaSox dropped to 19-36.
