Report: Brewers CF Carlos Gomez expected to miss extended time
Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez is expected to miss extended time with a sprained left wrist, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The 28-year-old will be shut down for one week before resuming baseball drills, "so this could be a couple weeks absence," Haudricourt reported on Twitter.

Gomez, who made his second All-Star team this season, is hitting .282 with 21 home runs and 65 RBIs in 127 games. He is three homers and eight RBIs shy of his career highs in those categories, set last season.
An eight-year veteran of the Mets, Twins and Brewers, Gomez is a career .259 hitter with 89 homers, 336 RBIs and 199 steals.
The Brewers (73-64) have lost six games in a row entering Tuesday night's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, and are one game behind the first-place Cardinals in the NL Central.
