Vin Scully to call fewer road games for Dodgers next season
Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully will call fewer road games next season, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Scully, 86, currently only travels to away games in Anaheim, Arizona, San Diego and San Francisco.
"I’m going to go to Anaheim for sure," Scully said Tuesday night. "But I’m going to try to cut back on nights on the road. I really want to spend more time at home."

He said he would consider making more road trips if the team is battling for a playoff spot during the stretch run.
"I won’t just go to go," he said. "I would probably wait until the season unravels a little bit, rather than just go early in the year somewhere. They ought to be in another pennant race. It’s more fun."
Scully said he will travel with the team for the playoffs. The Dodgers hold a two game lead over the San Francisco Giants in the NL West with a 78-61 record.
