Giants first baseman Brandon Belt is reportedly unsure he'll be ready to go for the playoffs as he continues to sit out with concussion-related issues from earlier this summer, according to a tweet Wednesday night from MLB.com reporter Chris Haft.

Belt sustained the concussion when a ball was thrown astray during batting practice in July. He has since played just five games since early August because of it, and has suffered from limited eyesight.

Red Sox manager John Farrell won't rule out shutting down Dustin Pedroia

The 26-year-old was hitting .237 with 11 homers and 24 RBI. On Tuesday, he took a step forward in his rehab and was cleared to field ground balls as the team got ready to kick off a homestand against the Diamondbacks

The Giants are second in the NL West heading into the home stretch of the regular season.
