Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti is on the "hot seat," according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

Colletti has been the Dodgers' GM since the 2005 season, overseeing four NL West titles and five postseason runs during his tenure.

The report Wednesday comes as the Dodgers -- a club with a $240 million player payroll -- lost in the NLDS to the Cardinals. The red birds have now bounced the Dodgers from the postseason in consecutive seasons.

Yasmani Tomas worked out for the Padres again

Los Angeles' manager, Don Mattingly, is also under scrutiny from the front office, although Dodgers brass have a "softer spot" for him than they do for Colletti, according to Rosenthal. If Colletti is let go, however, it's possible the new GM would want to name his own manager.

Mark Saxon of of ESPNLosAngeles.com tweeted Wednesday night that he's hearing Mattingly's job is safe. The Dodgers manager made some questionable decisions in the team's 3-1 NLDS loss to the Cardinals this week. Mattingly opted to leave Yasiel Puig out of the starting lineup for the Dodgers' elimination game on Tuesday.
