The Pittsburgh Pirates have reportedly agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract with pitcher Francisco Liriano, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports. Robert Murray of MLB Daily Rumors first reported the deal.
Rosenthal reports the contract is pending a physical.
Liriano declined a qualifying offer from Pittsburgh on Nov. 10. If Liriano had signed with another team, the Pirates would have received a compensatory pick.
Liriano, 31, has played in Pittsburgh for two seasons. He finished ninth in Cy Young voting in 2013 and posted the second- and third-lowest ERAs of his career in his time with the Pirates.
