The St. Louis Cardinals and start pitcher Lance Lynn have agreed to a three-year deal through 2017, the team announced Thursday.
The agreement ensures that the two sides will avoid salary arbitration.
Lynn has 48 wins since 2012, the third-most among National League pitchers. He finished 15-10 with a 2.74 ERA in 2014, helping the Cardinals reach the National League Championship Series before they were eliminated by the San Francisco Giants.
The deal is worth $22 million over three years, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
The Cardinals also agreed to a one-year deal with catcher Tony Cruz.
