Angels OF Josh Hamilton (shoulder) doubtful for Opening Day
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton will be out for six to eight weeks after undergoing shoulder surgery, the team announced Tuesday. He is doubtful for Opening Day, the team said.
Hamilton's injury is to the AC joint, which also hampered him last season. He began to experience pain in the shoulder when he began taking more intense batting practice sessions last week.

The surgery will be performed Wednesday and Hamilton could resume baseball activities in a little as three weeks.
Injuries limited Hamilton to just 89 games last season. He tied a career-low with 10 home runs and had a career-low 44 RBI and .414 slugging percentage.
The 33-year-old has three years remaining on his five-year, $125 million contract.
