Report: Yankees hold second workout for Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada
The New York Yankees held a second private workout with Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada, reports the New York Post’s George A. King III.
According to the report, the workout took place at the team’s spring training facility in Tampa.
Moncada, 19, has reportedly already worked out for the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox.
Moncada defected from Cuba in August and established residency in Guatemala before being declared a free agent.

He could receive as much $30 million in signing bonuses and can sign during this international signing period, which runs through June 15, or wait until the next one, which starts two weeks later.
The Yankees and the Dodgers have already exceeded their international signing limits and will be taxed by Major League Baseball and banned from signing international free agents for the next two signing periods if either team signs Moncada.
Moncada hit .273 in 195 plate appearances in Serie Nacional during the 2013-14 season. He saw time at second base, shortstop and centerfield.
