Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen is out Saturday against Milwaukee after leaving the ninth inning of Friday's game with what the club called 'left knee discomfort.'
McCutchen removed himself from Pittsburgh's game against the Brewers after leading off the inning with a fly ball to right field. He battled lower body soreness during spring training, but Pirates manager Clint Hurdle dismissed any connection between the injuries.
The severity of McCutchen's injury is still unknown.
