Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton files for divorce
Court records show that Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton filed for divorce in February, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The petition cites "conflict" between Hamilton and his wife Katie as the reason for the divorce. Their Southern California mansion has also been put up for sale, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Hamiltons have been married since 2004 and have four children.
The divorce petition was filed around the same time that reports began to surface that Hamilton had suffered a drug and alcohol relapse. Hamilton had self-reported his relapse to MLB, and the players' union accused the Angels of leaking that information to the press.

Earlier this month, MLB announced Hamilton would not be suspended for violating the league's drug policy. Angels president Joe Carpino said MLB's decision "defies logic."
Hamilton is currently rehabbing after undergoing shoulder surgery in spring training. He is expected to be able to return to the field in May, but Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reported Saturday that the Angels are exploring the possibility of buying out his contract or trading him. The Angels aren't close to a resolution, according to Rosenthal.
