Josh Hamilton pinch-hit walk-off double lifts Rangers over Red Sox
Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton hit a walk-off pinch-hit double in Sunday's 4–3 win over the Boston Red Sox.
Hamilton batted for Adam Rosales with runners on first and third in the bottom of the ninth and ripped a line drive to the left centerfield gap. Hanser Alberto scored from third to tie the game and Prince Fielder came around from first to score the winning run. It was Hamilton's first walk-off hit as a member of the Rangers since 2012.
Sunday was Hamilton's seventh game of the season. He was traded to the Rangers from the Los Angeles Angels in April while recovering from a shoulder injury.
The Rangers improved to 26–25 and have now won nine of their last 11 games.
