Watch: Joc Pederson hits longest home run of 2015 MLB season

Joc Pederson hit his 15th and 16th home runs in back to back games Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies, the latter of which was a 480-foot bomb that traveled farther than any other home run during the 2015 MLB season.

Joc Pederson hit his 15th and 16th home runs in back to back games Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies, the latter of which was a 480-foot bomb that traveled farther than any other home run during the 2015 MLB season, according to Baseball Tonight. 

Pederson has hit four home runs of at least 450 feet this season, a mark second only to the Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton, according to ESPN Stats & Info. More astoundingly, three of those four home runs have occurred in the last two days. 

According to the game's broadcast crew, Pederson's average home run distance is 422 feet, already the longest in the major leagues. Today's results raised that average even higher. 

Here's Pederson's first home run, which traveled a mere 467 feet and came off of Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa. 

Below is Pederson's second of the night, which traveled the 2015-record-setting 480 feet. 

The home runs put Pederson in a tie for second in the National League in home runs along with Cincinnati's Todd Frazier.
