PHOENIX (AP) The Arizona Diamondbacks scored 11 runs in the second inning of Tuesday night's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, the second-most runs in an inning in franchise history.

All the runs were charged to Phillies starter David Buchanan, the first Phillies pitcher to allow 11 or more earned runs in an inning since Al Jurisich gave up 14 on June 28, 1947, at the New York Giants.

Arizona led 11-1 after two innings.

The club record for runs in an inning is 13, set on April 11, 2010, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Diamondbacks had 10 hits in Tuesday's big inning, a club record. Arizona had eight hits in an inning nine times, the last on May 19, 2010 against San Francisco.

Six of the 11 runs scored on two home runs, a grand slam for David Peralta and a two-run shot by Aaron Hill. Fifteen players came up to bat for Arizona.

Pitcher Jeremy Hellickson had two hits and three RBIs in the inning, the second time in club history a Diamondbacks pitcher had two hits in one inning. The first was Edwin Jackson on April 11, 2010, against the Pirates.
