Report: Larry Bowa getting second interview for Marlins job
Phillies bench coach Larry Bowa will reportedly get a second interview for the Marlins’ managerial vacancy.
Fox Sports’s Ken Rosenthal reported the news that Bowa will meet with Marlins brass Thursday. He previously interviewed with the team Oct. 5, according to reports. He also interviewed for the job in 2012, when Miami hired Mike Redmond.
General manager Dan Jennings took over for Redmond in the middle of the 2015 season, but will not return as manager and resume a front office role.
Bowa, 69, has managed the Padres and Phillies and also served on coaching staffs with the Angels, Dodgers, and Yankees in addition to his current post in Philadelphia.
The Marlins have reportedly also interviewed Bo Porter, Manny Acta, Phil Nevin and Joey Cora for the job.
