Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy continued his playoff hot streak with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning in Sunday’s Game 2 of the NLCS.
The homer was Murphy’s fifth in seven postseason games and gave the Mets a 3–0 lead. He also had solo home run in Game 1 of the series on Saturday and a solo shot in Game 5 against the Dodgers that proved to be the game-winner.
Murphy’s homer on Sunday came shortly after he ripped a long fly ball that went just foul.
