Report: Chase Utley signs one-year deal with Los Angeles Dodgers
Chase Utley will reportedly return to the Dodgers on a one-year deal.
Chase Utley will return to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year deal, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Jeff Passan.
Utley, a six-time All-Star with the Phillies, was traded to the Dodgers in August. He played in 34 regular season games with Los Angeles, batting .202 with three home runs and nine RBI.
Utley recorded three at-bats during the Dodgers’ divisional series matchup with the New York Mets. He was suspended two games after a hard slide into second base, but did not miss any time due to an appeal.
In time with the Phillies and Dodgers, Utley batted .212 with eight home runs and 39 RBI last season. In his career, the longtime second baseman has a .281 batting average with 236 home runs.
