Report: Braves trade Shelby Miller to Diamondbacks
The Atlanta Braves have agreed to trade pitcher Shelby Miller to the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.
Outfielder Ender Inciarte, Aaron Blair and Dansby Swanson, the first overall pick in the 2015 MLB draft will head to Atlanta in exchange for Miller, CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman reports.
Miller joins the newly-signed Zack Greinke in a revamped Diamondbacks rotation.
The rebuilding Braves have been frequently mentioned in trade rumors this week, and Miller was linked to the Cubs, Diamondbacks, Dodgers and Red Sox.

Miller, 25, turned in a strong 2015 season, his first with Atlanta after being acquired from St. Louis in a trade sending Jason Heyward the other way. He made his first All-Star appearance and finished with a 3.02 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 171 strikeouts. Even with those statistics, he went just 6–17 as the Braves struggled to provide run support during a disappointing year.
