The Chicago Cubs have signed outfielder Shane Victorino to a minor league contract, the team announced Friday.
The Cubs have now added two additional outfielders this off-season to complement Jorge Soler, Kyle Schwarber and Javier Baez. They brought in Jason Heyward on an eight-year, $184 million deal and re-signed Dexter Fowler to a one-year deal earlier this week.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports the Cubs had an agreement in place with Victorino before the Fowler deal went through, so they decided to honor it.
Victorino was traded from the Red Sox to the Angels midway through last season and hit .230 across 71 games for both teams.
