Jackson will reportedly play centerfield in Chicago, which lured him away from a more lucrative deal with the Angels.
In a corresponding move, the team designated Mike Olt for assignment.

Jackson, 29, hit .267 in 136 games for the Cubs and Mariners in 2015. He owns a .732 OPS over his six-year career.
