Yankees’ Jacoby Ellsbury takes pitch to wrist, leaves game

Yankees centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury left Saturday’s spring training game against the Braves after being hit by a pitch on the right wrist. X-rays and a CT scan came back negative.

The 32-year-old was struck by a Julio Teheran fastball in the fifth inning and left after an 0-for-2 day at the plate.

Ellsbury is coming off a season in which he hit .257 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs in 111 games. He has five years left on the seven-year, $153 million deal he signed with New York in 2014.
